The Floyd Central Jaguars fell, 2-1, to Magoffin County on Wednesday in Salyersville.
No one scored until the top of the 3rd inning when Jacob Bentley singled home Jace Martin for a 1-0 Floyd County lead. Magoffin County took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning after scoring on an error and then a wild pitch.
On the mound, Aden Barnett got the win for Magoffin County, allowing only 1 run on 1 hit with 5 strikeouts. Keon Reeves picked up the loss for the Jaguars after allowing only 1 hit and striking out three batters.
Floyd Central will next play on Friday when it travels to Knott County Central.
