The Belfry Pirates took an early lead and never relinquished it as they defeated the visiting Tug Valley Panthers, 10-2, on Tuesday.
At the plate, Isaiah Stanley led the way by batting 4-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jonathan Banks was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 1 run scored. Devin Jude was 1-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI and 1 run scored. Jonah Adkins was 1-for-2 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored.
On the mound, Banks allowed 1 run on only 3 hits while striking out 12 batters.
For Tug Valley, Julian Vance, Dakota Ooten and Gage Whitt had the only hits. Ooten had the lone RBI. Austin Smith was given the loss on the mound.
Belfry will next play on Thursday in a game at East Ridge. Tug Valley is scheduled to host Mingo Central on Thursday.
