Hannah Lewis pitched three perfect innings on Thursday as the Floyd Central Lady Jaguars defeated the Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats, 16-0, in three innings in Prestonsburg.
Lewis also struck out 5-of-9 batters she faced on just 36 pitches.
The Lady Jaguars scored seven runs in the top of the 1st inning and then seven more in the top of the 2nd inning to take a 14-0 lead. Floyd Central added two more runs in the top of the 3rd inning for the final margin of victory.
At the plate, Brooklyn Lewis was 1-for-2 with a triple, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Chelsea Johnson batted 1-for-3 with a double, stolen base, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Mia Queen-Gilliam was 1-for-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Lewis was 1-for-2 with a run scored.
Floyd Central will face Hazard on Monday on the road. Prestonsburg will play Pikeville on Monday.
