Griffin Miller pitched a two-hit shutout as the Scott Skyhawks earned a 1-0 win over the Logan Wildcats on Wednesday at Logan.
The game was scoreless throughout the first three innings before Scott got on the board. Hunter Null started the inning with a single to right field. Null then advanced to second on a ground out. After a strike out, Nick Miller smacked a single to left field, scoring Null with two outs for the game’s only run.
Griffin Miller was dominant on the night. He struck out 14 batters over 7 innings, including the final two outs of the game.
Logan’s Dawson Maynard was great in defeat, allowing only on run on 10 hits while striking out 7 batters.
Scott will next play on Friday when it faces both St Albans and Van. Logan will play Man on Thursday.
