The Pike County Central Lady Hawks scored one unearned to knock off the Belfry Lady Pirates, 1-0, on Tuesday despite not recording a hit.
Pike County Central’s Jaycie Stanley was hit by a pitch and later scored on a throwing error for the only run of the game.
Belfry’s Molly Fahm was fantastic in defeat, striking out 10 batters in a rare losing no-hit effort. The Lady Hawks’ Chloe Hannah was magnificent herself, allowing only three hits and striking out 11 batters.
Bella Howard, Makaylin Meade and Natalie Fite all had singles in the loss.
Belfry will next host Martin County on Thursday. Pike County Central is set to play at Shelby Valley on Thursday.
