The Pike County Central Lady Hawks captured the 60th District title with a 51-45 win over the Belfry Lady Pirates, 51-45, on Wednesday at Belfry High School.
The Lady Hawks (15-14) were led by Lindsey Bowman with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Emalie Tackett and Abigail Hess followed with 13 points each. Tackett also add 10 rebounds while Hess recorded 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Abby May scored 4 points. Hannah May had 3 points and 6 assists. Larah Stanley chipped in 2 points.
Belfry (17-13) was paced by Karlea Stanley’s 16 points. Jaaliyah Warren followed with 11 points. Clara McNamee added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Hope Coley dropped in had 5 points. Kylie DeBoard finished with 2 points and 6 rebounds.
Both teams will now await to see who they play in the 15th Region Tournament next week.
