The Wayne Middle School Pioneers picked up a 50-43 home win over the Fort Gay Vikings in recent middle school basketball action.
With the win, Wayne moved to 14-3 and will ender the Wayne County Tournament as the top seed next week. The Pioneers finished 1-17 last season, so this years has produced quite a turn around.
Landon Preece and Brayden Harless led the way with 14 points each. Harless also had 8 rebounds while Preece pulled down 7 rebounds. Colton Preece followed with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Dotson had 8 points and 5 assists. Brayden Lowe dropped in 3 points. Brayden McCormill finished with 2 points in the win.
