Tug Valley Blasts Tide, 78-58

The 2nd-ranked (Class A) Tug Valley Panthers used a balanced attack to pick up a 78-58 road win over the Sherman Tide on Tuesday in Seth.

The Panthers (17-3) jumped out early, taking a 27-18 lead after the first quarter. Tug Valley extended the advantage to 47-34 at the half. Sherman (10-10) could not inch closer in the third period as Tug Valley stretched its lead out to 65-45. The Panthers coasted from there.

Parker Davis led Tug Valley with 20 points. Ashton Davis followed with 16 points. Buddy Marcum fired in 14 points. Joey Gollihue netted 13 points. Braydun Ferris and Johnathan Wagner fired in 4 points apiece. Brady Brewer, Paul Preece and Kaden Hale scored 2 points each. Bryson Elia chipped in 1 point.

AJ Skeens paced Sherman with 20 points. Logan Baldwin added 12 points in the loss.

The Panthers will next play on Friday when they host Man at 7:30 pm.
