Lady Panthers Fall To Ravenswood In Par Mar Shootout

The 9th-ranked (Class A) Tug Valley lost to Ravenswood, 53-40, on Monday morning during the Par Mar Shootout at West Virginia State University in Institute.

The Lady Panthers (7-7) jumped out of the gate quickly and took a 15-9 lead after the first quarter. Ravenswood (11-6) fought back in the second quarter to take a 22-20 lead into the locker room at the intermission. Ravenswood extended the lead to 40-33 after three periods Ravenswood finished out the fourth quarter strongly to pick up the win.

Kenzie Browning paced the Lady Panthers with 22 points. Haven Deskins followed with 10 points. Bailee Hall and Haley Gillman chipped in 4 points each.

For Ravenswood, Haleigh McGoskey led the way with 22 points. Emily Wratchford followed with 15 points.

Tug Valley will next play on Thursday when Martin County visits Naugatuck for a 7 pm clash.
