The Tolsia Rebels got 27 points from Parker Watts as they picked up a 53-50 win over the Mingo Central Miners on Saturday at Mingo Central High School.
The Miners (6-9) started out well, taking a 13-9 advantage over the Rebels (11-6) after the first quarter. Mingo Central then took a 28-22 lead into the locker room at the half. Tolsia came out firing in the third period, outscoring the Miners, 17-10, to take a 39-38 lead heading into the final quarter. The Rebels held a 14-12 advantage in the final quarter.
Following Watts was Benjamin Clayton and Bryson Muncy with 7 points apiece. Brayden Mollette added 5 points. Evan Ball scored 3 points. Colton Austin and David Dingess finished with 2 points each.
Mingo Central was led by Jake Cline and Chris Ross with 12 points apiece. Malaki Sheppard followed with 11 points. Ethan Thomason fired in 7 points. Kendan Trent netted 6 points. Caden Porter added 2 points.
Mingo Central next hosts Man at home on Tuedsay. Tolsia plays at Huntington St. Joe on Friday.
