Alyssa Allen scored her 500th career point as the Martin County Cardinals cruised past the visiting Tug Valley Lady Panthers, 68-33, on Monday at Martin County.
Martin County (17-4) put their foot on the gas early, outscoring Tug Valley (7-6), 26-2, after the first period of play. The Lady Cardinals held a 50-15 lead at the intermission.
Brooke Marcum led Martin County with 18 points. Laken Williams followed with 17 points. Allen added 12 points to reach her milestone. Katie Marcum scored 11 points. Kennadi Mollett and Sophie Harless dropped in 3 points each. Candace Spaulding and Bella Muncy chipped in 2 points each.
Tug Valley was paced by Kenzie Browning with 18 points. Haven Deskins and Kinna Justice fired in 6 points each. Kristin Fields had 2 points. Bailee Hall finished with 1 point.
The Lady Panthers are next scheduled for action on Monday when they play Ravenswood. Martin County will travel to Magoffin County on Wednesday.
