Mingo Central’s Ashton Ooten and Tug Valley’s Michael Curtis recently took first place in their respective weight classes at the Jackson County Invitational.
Ooten finished the competition with a 4-0 record and captured first place in the 190-pound weight class. For his efforts, he was named the outstanding wrestler of the tournament.

Curtis went 3-0 in the 132-pound weight class on his way to winning that group. Tug Valley teammate Brody Hannah went 2-2 and finished third in the 150-pound division.
