Chapmanville Middle School got a huge win on Saturday by knocking off the Lenore Rangers, 55-48, at Chapmanville Regional High School.
The Tigers got off to a a strong start, storming out of the gate for an 11-4 lead after the first period. Chapmanville extended its lead to 24-9 at the intermission. The Rangers played Chapmanville evenly in the third period, making it a 38-24 lead. Lenore outscored Chapmanville 24-17 in the final quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
Conner Dingess led the Tigers with 24 points. Jackson Toppin followed with 14 points. Austin Killin dropped in 6 points. Jacob Vance dropped in 5 points. Dakota Dalton and Ashton McClanahan chipped in 3 points each.
Lenore was paced by Preston May’s game high 30 points. Ashton Evans scored 6 points. Cameron Slone dropped in 5 points. Jarron Holyfield added 4 points. Trenton Hager chipped in 3 points in the loss.
