The 7th-ranked (A) Tug Valley Lady Panthers went to Kanawaha County and picked up a win over Cross Lanes Christian, 52-40.
The Lady Panthers (6-5) got off to a strong start, taking a 29-22 lead into the locker room at the half. Both teams scored eight points apiece in the third period before Tug Valley outscored Cross Lanes Christian, 15-10, in the final frame.
Tug Valley was led by Haven Deskins’ 25 points. Bailee Hall followed with 11 points. Haley Gillman fired in 7 points. Kinna Justice added 5 points. Michela Swan finished with 4 points.
The Lady Panthers will next play on Tuesday at Man. The opening tip is set for 7 pm.
