Tolsia Topples Prestonsburg, 64-55

The Tolsia Rebels used a strong fourth quarter to knock off the the visiting Prestonsburg Blackcats, 64-55, on Friday at Rebel Arena.

After Tolsia (9-5) took a 13-11 lead after the first quarter, the Blackcats (12-8) rallied back to take a 30-26 lead into the locker room at the intermission. Prestonsburg extended its lead to 48-41 after three quarters, but the Rebels held a 23-7 advantage in the fourth period to pull out the win.

Parker Watts led the Rebels with 19 points. Bray Mollette followed with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Ben Clayton dropped in 11 points and grabbed 7 boards. Colton Austin scored 8 points. Bryson Muncy and David Dingess finished with 4 points apiece.

Braxton Keathley paced Prestonsburg with 16 points. Conner Napier and Mason Stidham followed with 9 points each. Kaden Allen fired in 8 points. Caleb Lawson scored 7 points. Grant Varney recorded 5 points. Teagan Slone finished with 1 point.

Tolsia will next play on Tuesday by hosting rival Tug Valley in a 7:30 pm contest. Prestonsburg will next battle on the road at Pike County Central on Monday at 7:30 pm.
