Martin County Blows Past East Ridge, 84-64

The Martin County Cardinals got 25 points and 10 rebounds from Luke Hale as they went on the road and defeated the East Ridge Warriors, 84-64, on Tuesday at East Ridge.

The Cardinals (15-2), coming off their 15th Region All A Championship, had four different players score in double figures. Brayden McKenzie followed Hale with 16 points. Jacob Sturgell had 13 points and 11 boards. Peyton Davis fired in 10 points. Matthew Linville and Blake Maynard added 8 points each. Bryson Dials and Ethan Ferrell dropped in 2 points apiece.

East Ridge (9-8) was paced by Jackson Keene’s 21 points. Brad Howell followed with 15 points. Gunner Ward had 11 points. Keaton Puckett fired in 5 points. Carter Damron and Zack Mason dropped in 4 points each. Brady Kendrick and Isaiah Adkins added 2 points apiece in the loss.

Martin County is set to travel to Betsy Layne on Thursday in a 7:30 pm start. East Ridge will host Pike County Central on Thursday at 7:30 pm.
