The Westside Renegades got 20 points from Hunter Lester as they defeated the visiting Mingo Central Miners, 62-54, on Saturday in Clear Fork.
The Renegades (4-5) jumped out to a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Westside stretched the lead out to 31-20 at the intermission. The Miners (5-5) could never get over the hump as the Renegades were able to celebrate a win.
Bryson Blankenship followed Lester with 15 points for Westside. Kyler Kenneda dropped in 6 points. Dale Bledsoe and Brayden French scored 5 points each. Parker Lambert added 4 points. Austin Bishop chipped in 3 points. Kadien Vance finished with 2 points.
Mingo Central was paced by Matt Hatfield’s 13 points. Kendan Trent and Ethan Thomason followed with 10 points apiece. Jake Cline fired in 8 points. Caden Porter added 6 points. Malaki Sheppard dropped in 4 points. Chris Ross chipped in 3 points.
Westside will next play on Thursday at Man. Mingo Central will host Tug Valley on Tuesday.
