The Tug Valley Panthers got back into the win column on Tuesday by running past the visiting Sherman Tide, 88-55, on Tuesday in Naugatuck.
After a close first quarter, Tug Valley (5-3) outscored Sherman 22-6 to make it a 42-24 advantage at the half. The Tide (4-6) could never catch up as Tug Valley cruised in the second half for a convincing win.
Joey Gollihue and Parker Davis led the way with 16 points each. Ashton Davis scored 14 points. Kaden Hale added 13 points. Buddy Marcum dropped in 8 points. Carson Newsome fired in 7 points. Johnathan Wagner and Aiden Armstrong recorded 5 points apiece. Julian Vance finished with 4 points.
Tug Valley next plays on Friday, hosting Van at 7:30 pm.
