Williamson Middle School Holds ‘Shoot For The Cure’ Contest With Lenore Middle School

The Williamson Wolfpack and Lenore Rangers got together for a boy/girl doubleheader on Monday night at Williamson Middle School. Beyond the two games played on the court, both schools put on a show for a great cause. All proceeds from last night’s game went to the West Virginia Cancer Association. Cancer survivors also joined both teams out on the floor.

As for the games themselves, Lenore took both outings last night.

Girls

Katie Hall scored 19 points and recorded 9 steals to lead Lenore to the 39-10 win. Brooke Vance followed with 8 points. Emma Lackey scored 5 points. Ryliegh Baisden dropped in 3 points. Abby Cannon and Chloe Dyer finished with 2 points each.

Williamson was led by Karson Noe with 4 points. Isabella Kimbrell had 3 points. Maddie Sturgell scored 2 points. Bella May finished with 1 point.

Boys

Trenton Hager scored 18 points to lead Lenore to a 53-41 win. Preston May followed with 13 points. Cameron Slone scored 8 points. Ashton Evans added 6 points. Jarron Holyfield and Jacob Maynard dropped in 4 points each.

Quentin Warren paced Williamson with 21 points. Davean Joplin and Derek Jewell added 6 points each. Grey Williams tossed in 4 points. Landon Sawyers and Peyton Ramsey finished with 2 points apiece.
