On Wednesday, the East Ridge Lady Warriors hosted the Lady Crusaders of June Buchanan in girls basketball action. The Lady Warriors would come out victorious in this one 61-48.
The Lady Warriors placed three players in double figures on the way to victory. The Lady Warriors were led by Kirsten Easterling’s amazing 17 point and 21 rebound performance . Easterling was 6-11 from the floor and 5-6 from the foul line on the evening. Senior Lauren Mann added 14 points including 2 -3 from behind the 3 point line. Junior Madison Adkins was the third Lady Warrior in double figures as she added 12 points. Others to score for East Ridge were Sydney Thacker with 8 points, Olivia Stanley 7 points and Emily Ramsey chipped in with 3.
The win brings the Lady Warriors record to 2-9 on the season. Next up for East Ridge, they will travel to Phelps to take on the Lady Hornets on Friday. As for June Buchanan, the drops drops them to 3-4 on the season as they prepare to host Knott County Central on January 4th.
