Betsy Layne defeated Breathitt County, 71-60, on Wednesday afternoon in a Bobcat fight at the Mountain Schoolboy Classic at Belfry High School.
Brady Robinson led Betsy Layne (8-3) with 22 points. Cameron Pente followed with 15 points. Andrew Kidd fired in 14 points. Carter Parsons added 8 points. Byron Tackett dropped in 7 points. Grayson Hall recorded 3 points. Tanner Hall finished with 2 points.
Breathitt County (6-4) was paced by Christian Collins’ 29 points. Austin Sperry added 12 points. Luke Bellamy finished with 5 points. Andrew Combs, Bryce Hoskins and Caden Turner each had 4 points. Isaac Bellamy finished with 2 points.
Betsy Layne will play Avon, IN tomorrow in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic at 3:30 pm. Breathitt County will battle Pike County Central in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic at 5 pm. Both games are at Belfry High School.
