The Wayne Pioneers continued their strong start by overcoming a halftime deficit and edging past Buffalo, 71-69, on Tuesday out Wayne.
Buffalo took control in the second quarter and held a 45-35 lead at the half, but the Pioneers stormed back in the third frame, cutting Buffalo’s lead to one point at 58-57. The Pioneers outscored Buffalo 14-11 in the fourth quarter for the win.
Isaac Meddings led the way with 18 points, including going 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Ronnie Staley followed with 15 point and 10 assists. Isaiah Lowe netted 13 points. Dillon May dropped in 8 points. Cooper Adkins and Peyton Marcum each recorded 7 points. Zane Adkins finished with 3 points.
