The Scott Skyhawks picked up a big win on Friday by defeating visiting Parkersburg on Friday in West Madison.
“It was a good win against a physical team,” said Scott head coach Shawn Ballard. “We learned from our mistakes in the opening game, improved through the week and corrected a lot of mistakes on Friday. I’m very proud of our guys who are playing varsity for the first time to bounce back and play well after a tough loss at East Fairmont. I’m also very pleased with our execution down the stretch in a close game.”
Scott (1-1) was led by Reece Carden’s 33 points. Jayden Sharps had 9 points. Kadin Clemons added 6 points. Isaac Setser and Owen Adkins registered 5 points each. Setser also dished out 11 assists. Tyler Walls chipped in 3 points.
