The Chapmanville Lady Tigers used a strong third period to pick up a 50-40 win over home standing Summers County on Saturday in the Rogers Oil Classic.
After Summers County held a 23-21 lead at the half, the Lady Tigers (5-1) went on a 20-6 run over the third quarter to take a 41-29 lead into the final frame. From there, Chapmanville kept Summers County at bay to capture the win.
Alaira Evans led the Lady Tigers with 18 points. Haley Fleming followed with 13 points. Jaiden Mahan fired in 7 points. Daizi Farley netted 5 points. Brooke Christian chipped in 4 points. Jaycee Blair finished with 3 points.
Chapmanville will now play on Tuesday when it travels to Wayne. The opening tip is set for 6 pm.
