The Mingo Central Lady Miners remained undefeated on the season as they downed the Scott Lady Hawks, 54-41, on Thursday at Mingo Central High School.
Mingo Central (3-0) took a 24-17 lead into the intermission at the half and held Scott (2-2) at bat the remainder of the game.
Addie Smith led the way for the Lady Miners with 22 points. DeLaney Grimmett followed with 11 points. Madisyn Curry added 10 points and 16 boards. Megan Adkins netted 6 points. Alyssa Davis chipped in 3 points. Bella Hall finished with 2 points.
Scott was paced by Kelsey Harper’s 18 points. Cheyenne Robinson added 10 points. Jenna Butcher followed with 9 points. Amelia Smith and Chrissy Roberts finished with 2 points apiece.
Mingo Central will next play on Saturday at Tolsia. The opening tip is set for 6 pm.
Scott is scheduled to battle Wayne at home on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
