Kensley Feltner Sets New Scoring Mark At Lawrence County

Lawrence County Lady Bulldog star Kensley Feltner became the school’s all-time leading scorer for either boys or girls on Tuesday.

Feltner scored 43 points at Letcher County Central, raising her career total to 3,241 to pass boys basketball great Timmy Dalton. Dalton finished with 3,209 points in his career for the Bulldogs.

Speaking on Feltner’s record, Dalton was enthusiastic and happy for his fellow Bulldog.

“It’s a great achievement for her to be the school’s all-time leading scorer because there have been so many great ball players to come through Lawrence County that could really light it up on the floor,” said Dalton. “For her to be at the top of the list just goes to show how much work and dedication she’s put into basketball. I think she will break a lot more records this season and possibly be Miss Basketball. Congratulations, Kensley and go Bulldogs!”

This coming Tuesday, Feltner will be honored for her achievement before the Lady Bulldogs battle Russell at 7:30 pm.
