Letcher County Central’s Jonah Little was named the Kentucky 4A Player Of The Year over the weekend.
Little spent his junior years as a wide receiver, catching 31 passes for 499 yards and 5 touchdowns, but he moved to quarterback his senior year and exploded with an unforgettable season.
Little completed 74-of-147 passes for 1,210 yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. However, rushing the ball he had an incredible 1,744 yards and 32 touchdowns on 183 attempts, averaging a jaw-dropping 9.5 yards per carry in the process.
The Cougars finished with an 8-4 record with Little running the offense, falling to 4A Runners-Up Corbin.
Little is also an outstanding baseball player, so we’ll be sure to hear more about him through the spring.
