Former Pikeville Star Landon Hammock Enters Transfer Portal

Former Pikeville High School lineman has decided to leave Eastern Kentucky University and enter the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Hammock released a statement on social media thanking EKU and announcing his eligibility.

“I wanna take this time to announce I will be transferring from Eastern Kentucky University with four years of eligibility left,” said Hammock. “Thank you to the coaches for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play at this level. Thank you to my teammates for bringing me in and treating me like family. I can’t express how grateful I am for you guys. I feel this is the best decision for me moving forward and am excited to see what God has planned for me from this point on!”

Hammock played on both sides of the ball in high school but is a defensive lineman on the collegiate level. At 6’2″ and weighing 285 pounds, Hammock is sure to draw quite a bit of interest.
