The 16th seed Logan Wildcats saw their season come to an end in the opening round of the Class AA playoffs on Saturday as they fell to the home standing 1st seed Winfield Generals, 43-0.
Logan (6-5) struggled moving the ball and amassed only 28 passing yards for the game. Drew Berry did well filling in for starting quarterback Jaxon Cogar the second half of the season but struggled with the Winfield defense and inclement weather.
The Generals (10-1) picked up 476 yards on the ground, led by Caden Beam’s 247 yards and 4 touchdowns on 25 rushing attempts.
It was Winfield’s second win over the Wildcats. The Generals beat Logan, 29-7, after the Wildcats started the season, 4-0.
The Generals will face Herbert Hoover in the second round of the playoffs this coming weekend.
