The Martin County Cardinals hit the road in the second round in the KHSAA 2A state playoffs when they take on the home standing Breathitt County Bobcats.
Martin County (7-4) defeated Leslie County, 46-40, last week.
The Cardinals amassed 511 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground last weekend, including three players who rushed over 100 yards apiece.
Brock Messer had 22 carries for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. Madden Miller added 159 yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 attempts. Dawson Mills finished with 16 carries for 131 yards and 1 touchdown.
Breathitt County (8-2) defeated West Carter, 54-0, in the opening round.
Quarterback Tyler Bryant led the way by completing 12-of-18 passes for 228 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions
Defensively, Blake Ritchie had a 12-yard interception return for a touchdown.
The Bobcats had 438 yards of total offense.
The opening kick is set for Friday at 7:30 pm at Breathitt County.
