Spring Valley Looks To Handle Jefferson’s Speed

The Spring Valley Timberwolves will open up their Class AAA playoff campaign at home against the visiting Jefferson Cougars.

Spring Valley (8-2) enters the contest ranked 7th and will lean on Garryk McFeeley, who is filling in for the injured Bruin Booth.

Dalton Fouch will handle the quarterback duties. Spring Valley may need its passing attack now with Booth out.

Jaylen Abercrombie will lead the receiving corps, as he has been Fouch’s top target this season.

Jefferson (7-3) will look to use its speed get an edge. All four members of the Cougars’ state champion 4x100m relay team are on the team – Keyshawn Robinson, Isaiah Fritts, Caleb Nelson and Spencer Powell. Spring Valley will have to play very well defensively.

Weather may also be a factor this week, and any bad weather favors the Timberwolves.

The opening kick is set for Saturday at 1:30 pm at Spring Valley.
