The Logan Wildcats look to pull a huge upset in the first round of the Class AA playoffs on Saturday when when travel to Winfield for a rematch with the top seed Generals.
Logan (6-4) lost to the Generals (9-1), 29-7, on September 23rd and come into this game with a shot at redemption.
The Wildcats will come into the contest sporting a different look as Drew Berry will handle the quarterback duties in place of injured star Jaxon Cogar.
Berry is 61-of-94 for 724 yards, 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
Gabe Workman will handle the load in the backfield. So far, Workman has 39 carries for 268 yards and 1 touchdown.
Logan’s top receiver is Garrett Williamson with 49 receptions for 612 yards and 4 touchdowns. Aiden Slack has also had a great season with 44 catches for 591 yards and 9 touchdowns. Julius Clancy has added 31 receptions for 382 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Bryce Davis leads the defensive unit with 147 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for a loss.
Winfield has won nine games in a row after losing the season opener to Hurricane. The Generals are one look poised for a deep playoff run and will provide a tall test for the Wildcats.
The opening kick is set for Saturday at 1:30 pm in Winfield.
