Man Visits Tug Valley For Huge Tussle

The Man Hillbillies visit the Tug Valley Panthers in a huge clash with major implications for the Class A playoffs.

The Hillbillies (6-2) come into the game ranked 12th and look to rebound from a 52-0 loss to Class AA powerhouse Independence.

Man will be led by quarterback Jayden Brumfield and the three-headed rushing attack of Jordan Adams, Jim Green and Dusten Baisden. All four of them have had over 100 yards rushing at different points this season.

Tug Valley (6-2) is ranked 14th this week and is coming off a win over Westside, 49-14. The Panthers can solidify their playoff positioning with a win.

The Panthers will be led at quarterback by either Elijah Fluty or Jaxon Nenni-Mills. Last week, Nenni-Mills completed 11-of-21 yards for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Tug Valley backfield will be led by Adam Slone and Bryson Elia. Slone had 9 carries for 69 yards and 3 touchdowns last week. Elia threw a touchdown pass, rushed for a touchdown and returned a punt for a touchdown last week.

The winner of this contest will be in prime position to make the Class A playoffs, but the loser will be in danger of falling out of the playoffs entirely. The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm on Friday at Bob Brewer Stadium in Naugatuck.
