Shelby Valley Routs Bath County

The Shelby Valley Wildcats had 528 yards of total offense to blow past the Bath County Wildcats, 62-6, for a road win on Friday.

Quarterback Russ Osborne led the way for Shelby Valley (7-2) by completing 9-of-10 passes for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also had 1 carry for 20 yards and a touchdown. Brady Johnson also threw 3-of-6 for 59 yards and 1 touchdown.

Jayden Newsome led all rushers with 7 carries for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brett Sturgill has 2 carries for 30 yards. Johnson finished with 1 carry for 18 yards.

John Fields had 4 catches for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns. Brady Bentley had 2 catches for 70 yards and 1 touchdowns. Jesse Cook added 34 yards on 1 catch. Ethan Mullins added 2 catches for 32 yards and 1 touchdown. Newsome had 1 catch for 9 yards. Clark Craft finished with 1 catch for 3 yards.

Johnson also returned an interception for a touchdown for Shelby Valley.

Shelby Valley will next host the Hazard Bulldogs (6-3) on Friday. The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm.
