The Scott Skyhawks look to continue their marvelous season by hosting the Poca Dots on Friday in West Madison.
Top ranked Scott (7-0) is led by Kennedy Award candidate Matt Frye.
Frye has had an incredible season as the Skyhawks’ quarterback. He is 106-of-179 passing with 1,720 yards, 21 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions. He also has 416 yards and 4 touchdowns on 38 carries.
Preston Cooper is Scott’s leading rusher, tallying 727 yards and 8 touchdowns on 125 carries. Carson Brinegar also has 25 carries for 197 yards and 1 touchdown.
Jayden Sharps leads all Scott receivers with 32 catches for 477 yards and 6 touchdowns. Brayden Clark has 427 yards and 5 touchdowns on 22 catches. Isaiah Bush has 16 catches for 402 yards and 6 touchdowns. Brinegar has 24 catches for 357 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Poca (1-6) comes into the contest after falling to Putnam County rival Winfield, 64-0. The Dots have a strong tradition but have struggled this season, especially defensively. The Dots will have to shore up the defense to have a chance in this contest.
The opening kick is set for 7 pm in West Madison.
