The Man Hillbillies and Tug Valley Panthers each suffered losses this week. However, both teams still finds themselves in a good spot in the latest WVSSAC Class A Football Rankings released on Tuesday.
The Hillbillies (6-2) are in 11th this week after falling to 3rd-ranked in Class AA Independence, 52-0, on Friday. Man will now head into its bye for before traveling to Naugatuck to face Tug Valley.
Speaking of the Panthers (5-2), Tug Valley is in 15th after falling to Mount View, 32-7. The Panthers will host the Westside Renegades this Friday at Bob Brewer Stadium in Naugatuck. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
The top 16 teams in each classification at season’s end qualify for the WVSSAC State Football Championship Tournament.
