The Bath County Wildcats traveled to Prestonsburg to take on the Blackcats last Friday night and left with a big loss. Prestonsburg allowed the Wildcats only 65 rushing yards and forced 4 turn overs in their 51-8 win.
Quarterback Reece Hamilton had 81 passing yards on 5 completions and a touchdown pass for the Blackcats. Seth Fitch had two catches for 37 yards and a receiving touchdown. Dalton Elliot also had 2 receptions for 37 yards. Alex Harris caught the ball once for 7 yards.
Senior Jon Little led the way for Prestonsburg with 120 rushing yards on only 5 carries. He found his way into the end zone 3 times. Ethan Jarvis had 103 yards on 11 carries and scored 3 rushing touchdowns. Dalton Elliot added 33 yards on 2 carries and Alex Harris had one 15 yard run.
Kicker Max Willoughby went 6 for 7 PATs and made a field goal.
The Prestonsburg defense was not joking around and they showed out. Jaxson Goble and Dalton Elliot both forced and recovered a defensive fumble. Alex Harris also had a fumble recovery. Jaxson added an interception to his night as well.
Bryce Patton and Gavin Stephens had 8 tackles each and both had a sack. Brant George and Logan Stumbo had 5 tackles each. Brady Allen added 3 tackles. Braxton Jude had 3 tackles and a sack for the Blackcats.
Prestonsburg (8-1) hosts the Cardinals of Martin County, Oct. 21.
Bath County (1-7) plays at home versus Shelby Valley, Oct. 21.
