Every week Lawrence County continues to show they are one of the top programs in Class 3A football. This week it was Senior WR/DB Kaden Gillispie that helped them defeat defending 3A State Champs Belfry 35-21.
Gillispie continues to excel in the big moments. Gillispie is a threat on both sides of the football. Against the Pirates, Gillispie caught 10 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. That brings his season total to 31 catches for 378 yards.
On the defensive side of the football, Gillispie accounted for 2 fumble recoveries that played huge in the Bulldog comeback. The energy this senior brings helps lead a ferocious Bulldog defense that has now led Lawrence County to a 6 game winning streak.
We look for big things to come from Gillispie as Lawrence County marches into the playoffs.
