The Scott Skyhawks find themselves sitting atop the WVSSAC Class AA Rankings for the second week in a row to lead area teams.
Scott (7-0) defeated the Logan Wildcats (5-2) by a score of 28-20 on Friday and now heads into the bye week to prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.
Speaking of Logan, the Wildcats find themselves 9th this week. They will look to get back on track at Liberty-Raleigh (1-5). Kickoff is set for 7 pm in Glen Daniel on Friday.
The Chapmanville Tigers (3-3) are 19th after a bye week. This week, they will take on 21st-ranked Wayne Pioneers (3-4) in a matchup that is vital to both teams. The kickoff is set for 7 pm on Friday out Wayne.
The Westside Renegades (2-4) are 24th after a bye week. The Renegades will now travel to take on the 7th-ranked Nicholas County (5-1). The opening kick is set for 7 pm on Friday.
Mingo Central (2-4) is 29th this week. The Miners will host Shady Spring (2-5) on Miner Mountain this week. Kickoff is set for Friday at 7:30 pm.
The top 16 teams at season’s end will compete in the WVSSAC State Football Championship Tournament.
