The Man Hillbillies continued their impressive season by beating the Shady Spring Tigers on Friday and find themselves 8th to lead all local Class A teams in the WVSSAC Football Rankings released on Tuesday.
Man (6-1) defeated Shady Spring, 41-22, and will face a huge test in Class AA 3rd-ranked Indepdence (6-0). A win could catapult Man up toward the top of the rankings. Kickoff is set for 7:30 in Man.
Tug Valley (5-1) finds itself tied with Montcalm (6-0) for 11th. The Panthers are coming off a bye week and will host Mount View (1-5). Tug Valley needs to keep winning to avoid falling out of a playoff position. The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm in Naugatuck.
The top 16 teams in each classification at season’s end qualify for the WVSSAC State Football Championship Tournament.
