The Johnson Central Golden Eagles rushed for 307 yards as they rolled over the visiting Perry County Central Commodores, 52-7, on Friday.
Johnson Central (5-2) was led by Zack McCoart’s 211 yards and 3 touchdowns on 13 attempts. Mason Lawson had 8 carries for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Chase Price added 1 carry for 6 yards. Logan Music finished with 2 carries for 4 yards.
Jacob Grimm completed 4-of-4 passes for 51 yards and 1 touchdown.
Lawson had 2 catches for 25 yards. Caiden Yates had 1 reception for 13 yards and 1 touchdown. McCoart added a 13-yard catch.
Sawer Crum added 1 field goal and 7 PAT kicks.
Logan Castle added an 86-yard interception return for a touchdown. Ryan Rice also had an interception in the win.
Johnson Central will hit the road on Friday to take on the Harlan County Black Bears (3-4). The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm.
