Every week we honor the player that throws up the best numbers in our coverage are with the Double Kwik “Player of the Week” award, this week it was East Ridge quarterback Dylan Burdin taking home the honor for the second time this season. Burdine completed 17/25 passes for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns, he also carried the rock 14 times for 157 yards, while scoring one touchdown on the ground. On defense Burdine really stepped up in the absence of Stevie-Todd Layne, he collected 14 tackles with 9 of them being solo tackles, he has 51 tackles on the season, with an interception and a forced fumble on his resume as well.
East Ridge would move on to defeat Bath County 50-20 on the back of Burdine’s performance, the Warriors will stay in District this coming Friday as the red hot Shelby Valley Wildcats roll in to town, kickoff is set for 7;30pm.
