The Tolsia Rebels and Mingo Central Miners are both looking to get a win on Friday night when the two teams battle it out at Tolsia High School.
The Rebels (0-5) are coming off a 44-7 loss to Tug Valley. Points have scarce for Tolsia this season. The Rebels are only averaging 6.8 points per game, but Tolsia is hoping for a turnaround with Luke Williamson under center.
Last week, Williamson was 4-of-12 passing for 114 yards and 1 touchdown. He’s hoping for a few more big plays against the Miners.
Mingo Central (1-4) opened its season with 56-6 win over Westside. Since then, the Miners haven’t scored more than 14 points in a game.
Quarterback Chris Ross and running back Dylan Vance will lead Mingo Central against Tolsia’s defense.
The opening kick is set for 7 pm.
