The East Carter Raiders started their season with five straight wins before suffering their first loss of the season against Lawrence County, 42-26, two weeks ago. After a bye week, the Raiders will try to get back on track in Ashland against the home standing Tomcats.
East Carter (5-1) is led by Isaac Boggs. Boggs has rushed for 944 yards and 13 touchdowns on 108 carries.
Quarterback Eli Estepp guides the Raider offense, completing 28-of-57 passes for 602 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Michael Hall leads the East Carter receivers with 8 catches for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Defensively, East Carter is paced by Dustin Hall’s 46 tackles. Drew Noble has added 43 tackles as well.
Hall and Jared Potter each have 3 interceptions for the Raiders.
Ashland (3-4) is led by quarterback LaBryant Strader. Strader has completed 82-of-143 passes for 1,153 yards, 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Braxton Jennings paces the ground game for the Tomcats with 103 carries for 563 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Brandon Houston is Ashland’s top receiver, snagging 15 passes for 427 yards and 4 touchdowns. Terrell Jordan has 28 catches for 339 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Defensively, the Tomcats are led by Sawyer Edens and his 57 tackles. Isiaiah Ingram has 45 tackles.
The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm on Friday in Ashland.
