Lawrence County Bulldogs come out of Boyd County with a Close Win

In a close and low scoring matchup between the Bulldogs of Lawrence County and the Lions of Boyd County, the Bulldogs came out victorious with a 13-10 win.

Quarterback Talan Pollock threw the ball 6 times for 2 completions and 22 yards, receiving those passes was Kaden Gillespie.

As a team, the Bulldogs rushed for 271 yards. Ryan Marcum lead the way with 100 yards on 10 carries. Dylan Ferguson carried the ball 17 times for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cody Crum had 51 yards on 6 carries. Talan Pollock carried 5 times for 27 yards. Lawson Baisden added 2 yards on 2 carries.

Kicker Logan Ratliff went 1 for 2 PATs

The Boyd County Lion’s quarterback Rhett Holbrook had 5 passing completions on 9 attempts for 23 yards and 1 touchdown. Josh Thornton caught the ball 3 times for 17 yards and 1 touchdown. Cayden Butler had 1 reception for 10 yards.

The Lions had a team total of 130 rushing yards. Malichi Wheeler carried the ball 18 times for 70 yards and Rhett Holbrook had 59 yards on 12 carries.

Kicker Cole Thompson went 1 for 1 PATs

The Bulldogs (5-1) play Pike County Central at home on Oct. 7.

The Lions (4-3) play at home against Holmes on Oct. 7.
