The 9th-ranked Logan Wildcats hope to regain some momentum when they host Nitro on Friday.
Logan (4-1) returns home after falling on the road at Winfield last Friday. Nitro (2-3) is hoping to bounce back after loss to Wayne.
Jaxon Cogar has led this season. The senior quarterback is 71-of-116 passing for 945 yards, 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He’s also carried the ball 65 times for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Cogar’s main target is Aiden Slack. So far, Slack has 25 receptions for 388 yards and 3 touchdowns. Garrett Williamson has 21 catches for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. Julius Clancy has registered 206 yards and 3 touchdowns on 13 receptions.
Nitro is led by the connection of quarterback Derek Lowe and receiver Rashaun Robbins.
Lowe is 30-of-71 passing for 564 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Robbins has caught 17 passes for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The opening kick is set for 7 pm in Logan on Friday.
