The 11th-ranked Man Hillbillies jumped ahead early and never looked back as they routed the home standing Wyoming East Warriors, 49-8, on Friday in New Richmond.
Dusten Baisden kicked off the scoring for Man (4-1) with a 5-yard run with 1:14 left in the first quarter. Jaxon Tipton’s kick made the score 7-0.
Jordan Adams started the second period scoring with a 35-yard touchdown run with 10: 25 left for a 14-0 advantage. Baisden added an 8-yard run at the 6:45 mark to make it 21-0. Jim Green then got in on the action by trotting in from 11 yards out and a 28-0 halftime lead.
Wyoming East (0-4) got on the scoreboard with 1:46 left in the third quarter with a safety.
Green then scored again for Man on a 33-yard run with 10:30 remaining in the game. Josh Springs tacked on a 4-yard touchdown run for a 42-2 advantage.
Wyoming East got a touchdown with 0:35 left, but the Hillbillies got the last word when Green returned the ensuing kickoff 71 yards for the final score of 49-8.
For Man, Baisden had 11 carries for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Green finished with 4 carries for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns to go along with his kick return touchdown. Adams had 4 carries for 53 yards and 1 touchdown. Kaleb Mullins registered 40 yards on 4 attempts. Jayden Brumfield finished with 31 yards on 4 carries. Corey Morgan had 3 carries for 7 yards. Spriggs finished with a 4-yard touchdown on his only carry.
Brumfield was 2-of-5 passing for 43 yards.
Jacob Walls had 1 reception for 40 yards. Adams added 3 yards on 1 catch.
Man will hit the road next week for a game with Buffalo (1-3). The opening kick is set for 7 pm.
