The Tug Valley Panthers are rolling along so far in the 2022 season. After a win over East Ridge, the Panthers find themselves ranked second in this week’s WVSSAC Class A Football Rankings.
Tug Valley (4-0) is all alone in 2nd after sharing the spot last week. Only perennial powerhouse Wheeling Central is ranked above the Panthers. Up next for Tug Valley is a trip to Virginia for a match up with the Hurley Rebels (3-1). A win would give the Panthers a nice points boost heading into the next rankings.
The Man Hillbillies (3-1) find themselves in 11th position. Man moves up from the 15th spot after taking down Class AA Mingo Central this past Friday. Man will hit the road to face another Class AA foe in the Wyoming East Warriors (0-3).
Both games are set for Friday night.
The top 16 teams in each class at season’s end qualifies for the WVSSAC Football Championship Tournament.
