Each week our Player of the Week dominate the game. Typically it is an outstanding offensive or defensive performance that earns the honor. This week the honor goes to Lewis County Senior Austin Howard for his outstanding performance on both sides of the football.
Howard had 23 carries for 260 yds and 6 TDs on the offensive side of the ball. The 6 TDs in a game is a new school record. Howard also contributed defensively. Howard had 2 interceptions, 8 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles Friday night against Bath County. Howards performance helped push Lewis County to the 69-28 victory over the Wildcats and earn him the Double Kwik “Player of the Week”.
