Jaxon Cogar finished with 4 passing touchdowns as the Logan Wildcats hammered the visiting Poca Dots, 49-20, on Friday night.
With the victory, Logan moved to 4-0 on the season. It’s the first time the Wildcats have won their first four games since 1990.
Cogar was 15-of-22 passing for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 11 times for 96 yards.
Adam Baisden II carried the ball 5 times for 45 yards. Conner Mullins had 15 yards and 1 touchdown on 3 carries. Aiden Slack had 3 carries for 6 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gabe Workman added 6 yards on 2 attempts. Kieran Tolliver had 1 carry for 5 yards. Caden Justice finished with 3 yards on 2 carries. Jacob Waldron had 2 yards on his lone attempt.
Julius Clancy led all receivers with 80 yards and 2 touchdowns on 4 receptions. Garrett Williamson had 2 catches for 33 yards and 1 touchdown. Drew Berry added 20 yards and a touchdown on 3 catches. Justice finished with 1 catch for 1 yard.
Bryce Davis led the defense with 19 tackles. Quentin Goodman had 13 tackles. Mullins had 12 tackles, including 2 sacks. Ryan Roberts finished with 11 tackles. Maliki Gardner added an interception.
Logan came into the game ranked 8th in Class AA and will travel to Winfield (3-1) for a clash with the Generals. Winfield was ranked 10th coming into this week, so it should be a match up of two top 10 teams. Kickoff is set for 7 pm on Friday.
